Hassan - Iran

These are my feelings of being in Winfield since March of 2004. My name is Hassan and I'm from Persia. I have to take a TOEFL test in order to gain admission to UBC and now I know that I will achieve good results because my English has been improving quickly here. I love my wise teachers and kind friends. We do a lot of activities and have fun during class time. Furthermore there are other advantages to studying at Winfield. I like the affordable price and the several elective classes along with good management and lovely qualified teachers. I'm sure you'd be glad to study with us.

Vanessa Faria - Brazil

The teachers are very friendly and welcoming. All the activities promoted by the school are very interesting and it is also good to put together people from different countries. v_faria@hotmail.com

Naoki Watanabe - Japan

Winfield is a great school. All teachers in Winfield are friendly and help us when we are in trouble. We can learn many varieties from them. It is certain that we can meet lots of friends who are from multicultural countries. It's a great opportunity to know different cultures and customs from yours. The school also offers us interesting activities every month. Some of them might be that you've never experienced. Winfield is in a prime location. There is a huge library close to Winfield. In school, all students are able to drink free coffee and tea. naokiwithdolphin@hotmail.com

Audelina García - Mexico

Khalid Alrubian - Saudi Arabia

When asked about Winfield College, he said, "Wow! The teachers are very good and everything is good about the school". Khalid enjoys traveling around Vancouver sightseeing and has also been to Victoria. He likes Canadian people and their culture. He has been happy here.

Kana Onodera - Japan

Teachers and school are very friendly! I really enjoyed and I'm glad to choose this school. I became to be confident about speaking English. After I go back to Japan, I won't forget Winfield…. Thank you!

Carrie - Japan

"...Winfield College teacher taught me to kindness, warm consideration. So I'd like to send to gracious words to my teachers... to meet someone, like Winfield family, is always interesting and fun. These feelings, I learned from my school in Winfield College. I want to say to all the student that enjoy and happy time is made of you not others. And young and beautiful time always short and never comes again in our life..." March 2004

Karl Schnelli - Switzerland

I like from Winfield that: the classes are not so big, the rules about punctuality and discipline, bright classrooms and the kitchen with free coffee and tea, water machine and microwaves.

Kim Chong-Min

Thus far I can vividly recall the day I arrived at the Vancouver airport. There were more crowded than I thought. At that time I was poor at English. And so I felt embarrassed and anxious but most of Canadians, who I've met in Vancouver, have been kind, good-natured, and considerate. They have helped me whenever I want and guided me whenever I want.
There are what help me as well as them. It's the Winfield College and its teachers. I've studied in the school for about four months. Actually, my problem was 'speaking'. I was mistaken that I could speak English very well because I had studied hard in Korea. And I also thought I knew a lot of vocabulary and grammar but my English was absolutely poor and I couldn't know how to solve this problem.
At the moment, Iam going to Winfield College and the teachers advised me on 'Speaking Skills'. I delightly accepted their advices. I've sincerely respected them and they've passionately taught me. I know all teachers in the school. I always regard them as friends. They are friends who always want to help me. Although I can't speak with great fluency, I think my English is getting beter. I really appreciate their help. And .... I love Vancouver!!! December 2004

Hae-Young Pyun

There are so many people who come from different cultures.

Roberto Sanches - Brazil

What I like about Winfield are the extra activities. The teachers are very friendly and all time they try to speak and help you to improve your English. Here I can know and meet a lot of people of different cultures, different countries.

Wakako Shoji - Japan

At Winfield College we can study in small classes. So, teachers can care for each student. All the teachers that work at Winfield College are very friendly. We have so many activities. For example: going to the nightclub, pub nights, playing soccer and so on. We can enjoy it with nice teachers and friends. shojiroo@hotmail.com

Other testimonials:

I think, Winfield College is a very good school because study but also a lot of activities. I could make friends. My classes are very exciting. For example: exercises, talking and games.

TESOL STUDENTS

Kieko Kimoto - Japan

Hello, everybody! I'm Kieko. I'm a TESOL course student. I think I'm one of the old students in Winfield College. I mean, I come to this school longer than the other students because this is my 6th and last month. First 3 months, I was in ESL class, and I studied 'how to speak' English. I made a lot of friends, joined activities and had a good time. After that, I moved to TESL class, and I'm studying 'how to teach' English now. Since I moved to this class, I become "a baby teacher". Every 3rd and 4th week, we have practicum that we teach English to in-land students. "Our students" are very sweet, so I really enjoy the practicum with them. They try to speak what I teach, and after lesson they say to me with smiling "Thank you, Kieko. See you tomorrow!" This is the happiest moment in TESL. Honestly, TESL is my main purpose to come to Vancouver, and now, I spend wonderful time more than I expected.

Fabricio Mejia Lopez - Honduras

Hi, I just want to share my experiences in Honduras with the staff of Winfield College! I took the ESL and the TESOL training course in the year 2003 and now I'm living and teaching English in my country and that's simply great! I'm teaching grade 1 in a blingual school in Tegucigalpa and I never thought working with children was so much fun!

I'm costing my university studies teaching English so I think your school has done an awesome work with me!

I'd like to thank my teachers Janice, Jannel, Elaine, and the teachers from The native speakers Program...oops I forgot their names but they are the ones very good looking!!! Thanks for everything...I will never forget my experience in Canada!
